Our Name

Isto Thalassa comes from the Greek:

Ιστος= net, web, sail

Θάλασσα = sea

As per the Greek mythology the Sea was the Goddess and protector of the salty/sea water.  Daughter of Earth only, and  mother of Ouranos (Sky) and Aphrodite (Venus).

We think that the World Wide Web is today what was the Sea for the ancients:
